Website release draft · October 2026

These draft terms describe the Scout contributor website and are subject to final review before public launch.

Scout is not an emergency service

Nobody is dispatched from this website. No fire department, police department or ambulance receives an emergency request when you publish. If someone is in danger, call 911 and do not wait for a post.

What you post

You keep ownership of your photos and your words. By publishing, you authorize Scout to display them on this website with your public byline. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish and for having the rights to it.

What is not allowed

Deliberately false reports. Victims’ faces, license plates or graphic injuries. Interfering with crews to get a photo. Harassment. Illegal content. The community rules apply to every dispatch.

Accounts and removals

You can edit, save as a draft or remove your own dispatches. Readers can report posts and block contributors. Three distinct reports temporarily hide a dispatch for review. Contact Scout about a removal or to request a review.

Paid plans

Contributor publishing on this website is free. The app pricing displayed on the homepage is planned pricing for the separate Scout app; no subscription purchase or billing is available on this website.

Accuracy and availability

Reports come from contributors and can be wrong, late or incomplete. Example stories are labeled and are not news reports. Do not make a life-safety decision based only on Scout.
